Simon Gardner, a 23-year-old freelance social media marketer, believed the hype in 2007.

PUB said 92mm of rain fell within half an hour from about 1.20pm–1.50pm. The total amount of rainfall was 110mm which is approximately 43% of the average monthly rainfall for November.
Thursday's intense rainfall which was about six times that of a normal storm resulted in massive amounts of water - equivalent to the amount in 115 Olympic-sized pools - to drain into Bukit Timah 1st Diversion Canal, causing it to overflow.
The Bukit Timah 1st Diversion Canal which was completed in the early 1970s has been effective in preventing flooding in the Bukit Timah area, until the exceptionally intense storm on Thursday. PUB says it intends to upgrade this canal in the near future.

I was reading up on safe stress, and wanted to research more about it, so I Googled it and got results about how to deal with stress safely. I was miffed, so I decided to type an alternative term for it so Google can stop telling me ways not to kill myself.
...and I realise how useless it was when the alternative term turned out to be working stress. Damn.

I was walking on the pathway near McDonalds' where at the corner of my eye I saw my classmate from my critical thinking and writing class, but I had no idea what his name was. So I decided to pretend I didn't see him.
As I overtook him and his friends, I vaguely heard,
He: Hey, that's my CTW classmate.
They: Call her lah.
He: I...I can't remember her name!
Ah well, we all are suckers at this.

I know it's not the library, but seriously I am sitting beside the noisiest couple ever. They are not outwardly noisy, like screaming whatever, but they are talking about rubbish since seven. SHUT UP.
